My goal is to enlighten, educate & inspire people to create beauty and express themselves through beadwork.

Masai Shields Brooches

Teaching is my number one joy! I have been teaching for 20 years, beading for 36 years and was born to be an artist! I see many people come into my class with preconceived limitations regarding art and beadwork. I strive to guide them through those limitations through experimentation and play.

So many of my students are literally afraid to bust out and create freeform, fun beadwork. By the end of the class session, many thank me for pushing them beyond previous limits. This is the most satisfying aspect of teaching. I continue to push my own creativity and fears about acceptance of my art and try to listen to my instincts when making beaded art or art-to-wear objects.

I love to teach and I'm proud to be able to offer you the other two classes that Jill Wiseman and Kelly Weise created. This is a much more intimate retreat with only 10-12 students and we'll still be able to enjoy the surrounding beauty to the fullest!

I've been teaching beadwork for over ten years now besides being a designer, specializing in Peyote Amulet designs. This has been a rare opportunity to for me to create art, and to share the joy of creating it with others. Come and join us to explore the world of beads and nature a the same time!
